I love paper in any form! And I love collage! And so I have arrived at DADAISM. 'Seeing is more important than painting and drawing; you can learn that. You have to be able to see! (Quote: Hannah Höch) Especially for the art of collage, the gift of seeing new images in existing ones is essential. Alienation, playing with proportions and combining pictorial elements that no longer reveal where they originally came from; only then has a new creation come into being. Always critical, sarcastic and humorous! Welcome to DADA-land!

About the work of Daniela Satzinger
Dr. Ingrid Gardill, art historian,
"International Art Today 2018"

The explosive collages of the artist Daniela Satzinger are really something special. They not only contain criticism of society, but also transport profound humour. The artist succeeds in capturing her statements in a small format in an exciting and condensed way.
Satzinger usually takes her pictures from the press; the papers she uses for her collages are self-coloured. From this material she develops a wealth of aspects of content, which she implements artistically with great precision, yet very freely and with great clarity. She knows that a cut-out picture with sharp contours has an extremely strong effect, depending on how it is used. This has inspired her so much that she turned her back on painting at first in order to be able to devote herself mainly to the technique of collage. From time to time Satzinger also incorporates slogans, invocations and sentence fragments to accentuate her works and sharpen their message.
Frequently, this involves questions such as: Is death and destruction really the goal? Does it need a revolt? Are we fighting for our freedom? She always approaches these aspects from the artistic aspect. She compresses the pictorial themes in such a way that the viewer is left with enough freedom to form his own thoughts or follow impulses. Satzinger's collages are impulses that do not constrict in any way, but rather release new aspects through the visual language and often create surprising connections.
